  My experience of Whites Autos has given me the opinion that they have a wolves in sheeps clothing attitude. The current owners have only owned this garage for a few years. They did not build up the reputation of this garage. Having taken my campervan into the garage on a Friday morning, with the agreement of it being ready by Saturday morning at the latest, this company have cost me over £1000 and my van is still not drivable. I had a fuel leak, and I specifically said that I could not be without the van for more than one night (I was on holiday at the time, I dont live in Plymouth). John said to bring it in Friday morning at 8am. By 1530 I had not heard from them. I called them to be told that the technician had only just taken it apart, and that the parts person at Toyota was not there, and that they would get back to me. I had no choice but to pay for a bed & breakfast that night, only to be told the next day that there was no word from Toyota! Having spoken to Toyota since, this is just not true. The van was put back together with the original pipe so I could take it back to the campsite until Monday. They told me it was still leaking plus the van was miss firing. I asked them why is it miss firing? He said "well its probably because weve toyed around with it" The van was shaking to high heaven and I wasnt able to do more than 30 mph. Monday morning I took it to Toyota for a diagnostics which cost me over £100, only to be told that a fuel injector had been snapped, and that is why it is miss firing! Once on the phone to Whites their tone changed from a fake, caring tone to one of a confused, out of depth teenager. Once the technician from Toyota had spoken with Whites, they had no choice but to offer to replace and fix the injector. So I took it back to Whites. The next morning I had a call from them saying that the wrong injector had been delivered. Foolishly, I believed them and booked another night in bed & breakfast. The following day I called him in the afternoon, (by this point I had to be home to my partner & baby that needed me around) they told me that the injector still wasnt there. Now something was definitely fishy, so I walked to the garage and demanded they take the van off their property, and I had a recovery vehicle take me back home. This cost me £400. There was no attempt from Whites to want to rectify the situation, and seemed happy to put the van outside the premises. No apology, nothing, just a sheepish, uncomfortable persona. Unbeknown to me, my step father took it upon himself to contact Whites the following day. Whites said that the injector turned up half an hour after I left and that it is in front of him whilst he speaks to my step father! My step father said, if thats the case then tell me the serial number? Whites could not tell him because there was no injector! Whites never ordered an injector and had no intention of ordering one because he didnt want to pay for a mistake that was made by his company. Clearly he was happy to continue to lie to a customer, and either wait for me to get annoyed and take the van away in a recovery vehicle, or drag the job out until they find a second hand injector from a scrapyard somewhere. Since having rang Whites myself they hung up on me, with not even a word to argue their case. However, they know full well they had nothing to say because they were committing an extremely ruthless and dishonest act. This has been reported to the necessary associations, and has left me and my family over £1000 out of pocket, and with a van that is not running. Decide for yourself.
